Blessing of the Fleet

I live just over the bridge from Charleston in the small, but growing, Town of Mt. Pleasant. Historically it has been home of the Charleston area's shrimping fleet. On Sunday, April 26, folks gather at Alhambra Hall along the Mt. Pleasant coast/ harbor side and celebrate as the boats are blessed. I love this tradition! This year I will be selling my handcrafted jewelry at the 22nd Annual Town of Mount Pleasant Blessing of the Fleet & Seafood Festival, so if you are in the area, do stop by!



Needless to say, I have been making lots of jewelry the last few weeks - all those designs I had written down and gobs of sealife creations!
