A View From The Water

Around Charleston, there are a lot of bridges! Charleston is a pennisula, so it is almost impossible to avoid them. The Ashley, Wando, and Cooper Rivers all merge into the Charleston Harbor. Often my inspiration comes from these bodies of water as well as the Atlantic Ocean.
So here's a tour of just some of the bridges I photographed from our boat around these parts!

Bald Peanuts

or boiled peanuts, either way, they sure are delicious! A true Southern delicacy, we use the recipe from Piggly Wiggly, except we cook them in a pressure cooker.

I have a Little Charmers line of earrings that I sell through Karen's Korner that consist of little dangling charms and Swarovski crystals. I have used all kinds of charms and they seem to be quite popular!

A lady in WA (who happens to be a chef!) bought a pair of the peanut earrings as a gift and requested a pair of her own.

Banana Spider

We have a Banana Spider, or Golden Silk Spider living on our porch, whom we have affectionately named Spidy. This is the non-lethal species that come from Florida. We take great care not to disturb her, even though she spun her web to include the ringer part of a windchime, a strap we have hanging from a metal post, and part of our grill!
I took the first photo this morning and just a little while ago, my son and I got back from some errands and noticed she had shed her skin!

Jewels of the Sea

Love in Bloom

My Favorite Things - Lucky Bead Necklaces

I have a few of these necklaces I wear - my own jewelry is probably considered conservative to what I create sometimes! Often when I am working on a piece, I will make a few 'Charms' and string them on a necklace just to see how the beads look together or just because I really, really like them!

The Black Pearl

Dancing Feathers

Up the Garden Wall

Lucid Moon

Ain't No Sunshine

All of these and more are currently listed in my Store Lucky Bead Shoppe on eBay.
